Open Doors Days on 6 and 7 October 2007
The Royal Observatory of Belgium, the Royal Meteorological Institute and the Belgian Institure for Space Aeronomy open their doors on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 October 2007, each day from 10h till 18h.
A part of the domains and some of the buildings will be open for the public.
One will have the opportunity to visit the main buildings, the museum, some telescopes, including the solar telescope and the Schmidt telescope. The activities related to public service and research (seismology, time service, GPS, geophysics, gravimetry, astrophysics, solar physics) will be presented.
The general theme of the Open Doors Days is the Sun, esp. its interaction with the Earth. This happens in the frame work of the International Heliophysical Year 2007.
