Dear Colleagues, Please find below some news about: 1- The CU6 software development plan 2- The registration to the CU6 workshop 2: Brussels 12-13 October 3- The CU6 workshop objectives and agenda 4- The CU6 workshop social dinner 1- The CU6 software development plan ------------------------------------ The first version of the CU6 software development plan is attached to this mail. It contains in particular: - The CU6 master schedule for the period 2006 - 2008 (Sect. 3.1). - The generic description of the software developement cycles (Sect. 4.1): Cycles of 6 months divided in several phases: - Definition of the software requirements - Definition of the software design - Implementation of the software - Integration of the software at CNES centre - etc... Sect. 4.1 is a summary of the "Gaia Assurance and Engineering Disposition for Software development" (GAIA-C1-SP-CNES-TL-001, available on Livelink), which provides the full description of the phases/deliverables for the development cycles. - The proposed objectives and milestones of CU6 for the period mid-Oct. 2006 to mid-May 2007 (Sect. 4.2). This proposal is submitted to your comments and approval. Please check the objectives and deliverables for your WPs and let me know if you agree with them (E-m: david.katz@obspm.fr). 2- The registration to the CU6 workshop 2: Brussels 12-13 October ----------------------------------------------------------------- If you have not yet registered to the workshop and plan to attend, please register by sending a mail to david.katz@obspm.fr. 3- The CU6 workshop objectives and agenda ------------------------------------------- The two main objectives of the workshop are: 1- The presentation of the phases, procedures, documents for a generic software development cycle: - Description of the successive phases: requirements, design, implementation, etc... - Description of the deliverables/documents: Software Requirement Document, Software Design Document, ... - Description of the recommended development tools: subversion for document/software archiving and versioning, eclipse for the implementation environment, etc... - Description of the protocoles: how to deliver a code to CNES, etc... All these aspects are described in the "Gaia Assurance and Engineering Disposition for Software development" (GAIA-C1-SP- CNES-TL-001, available on Livelink) 2- The review of the plans of each team for the next cycle. Each team responsible for one or several WP(s) is invited to present its working plan for the next development cycle (mid-Oct. 2006 to mid-May 2007). Please check the agenda below and let me have your comments (questions, need for more time, additional presentation, changement of speaker, can not attend and make the presentation, etc...)
